# Your first table

Create a table, move it, turn it and set its limits.

## Create it

1. Stand where your players will stand, on the floor of your casino.
2. Look towards where the table should go.
3. Type `/casino create <name>` (for example `/casino create main`). Add `american` for a wheel with 0 and 00 (`/casino create vip american`), and `classic` for the classic style (`/casino create lobby classic`, or `american classic`).

The table is built one block in front of you. At size 1.0 it is about **8 blocks wide and 3 blocks deep**: the wheel is on your left and the betting cloth in front of you. The table always faces one of the four directions (north, south, east or west), the one closest to where you look.

<figure><img src="https://i.imgur.com/oA7DDl6.png" alt="The betting cloth seen from the players&#x27; side, with the chips and buttons on the rail"><figcaption><p>The betting cloth seen from the players' side, with the chips and buttons on the rail</p></figcaption></figure>

The name may have `a-z`, `0-9`, `_` and `-` (up to 32 characters). It is used in commands and for the file `tables/<name>.yml`. The name shown on the hologram is set apart (see below). Don't give a table the name of a bet (`red`, `17`, `odd`...), so `/casino remove red` always means the chips on red.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If the table uses a currency that is not installed (for example Vault without an economy plugin), you get a warning. The table is built, but nobody can bet until the currency is there.
{% endhint %}

## Modern or classic

Each table has a style (`style` in its file, or **style** in `/casino edit`):

* **MODERN** (the default): the 3D table with a wheel, a ball, the betting cloth and the chips on the rail. Players bet on the cloth or in the menu.
* **CLASSIC**: a ring of red, black and green blocks on the floor with their numbers over them and the hologram in the middle. **Right click** any block of the ring to open the bet menu. The ring turns slowly all the time, and an arrow inside it turns the other way. When it spins, both go fast, slow down, and the arrow stops on the winning number, which jumps a few times with sparks.

A classic ring has a radius of **4 blocks** by default (`ring-radius` in its file, 2.5 to 12), so it is about 9 blocks across, and it is **centered where you stand** when you create it (stand on the middle of your casino floor). `/casino move` centers it on you again. The blocks get smaller or bigger to fill the ring. The style of new tables is `defaults.style` in `config.yml`.

## Move it or turn it

| What                                                  | How                                                            |
| ----------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Move it to where you stand | `/casino move <table>` (looking where it should go) |
| Turn it 90°                                           | `/casino rotate <table>`                                       |
| Build it again (if parts are missing after a `/kill`) | `/casino rebuild <table>`                                      |
| Teleport to it                                        | `/casino tp <table>`                                           |
| Remove it                                             | `/casino remove <table>`, then click **\[Remove]** in the chat |

A table can't be moved while a round is being played: wait until the chips are off the table. A removed table's file is kept in `backups/`.

## Set it up

Type `/casino edit <table>` to change everything from a menu: the name, the wheel, the currency, the chips, the limits, the timers, the size and the permission. You can also edit `tables/<table>.yml`; it is applied a few seconds after you save it. See [Tables](/rnsetups/rncasino/configuration/tables.md).

Changes made during a round are applied when the round ends.

## A VIP table

1. `/casino create vip`
2. In `/casino edit vip`, set the chips to `1000, 5000, 10000, 50000, 100000`, the smallest bet to `1000` and the permission to `rncasino.table.vip`.
3. Give `rncasino.table.vip` to your VIP rank. Other players see the table but can't bet.

## All your tables

`/casino list` opens a menu with every table: click one to edit it, right click to go there.
