# FAQ and troubleshooting

Common questions and problems.

**"This table can't take bets right now (no economy)."** The currency of the table is not there. For `vault` tables install Vault **and** an economy plugin (EssentialsX, CMI, XConomy...). For `playerpoints` tables install PlayerPoints. Or change the table's `currency`.

**The table is not shown.** Players only see a table within `model.view-distance` blocks (48 by default). Check that `enabled` is `true` in its file. If parts are missing (for example after `/kill @e`), use `/casino rebuild <table>`.

**Do the tables stay after a restart?** Yes. The 3D model is not saved in the world: it is built again each time its chunk loads, from `tables/<name>.yml`. This is why it can't be broken, moved by pistons or left behind as junk entities.

**Can I put the table in a room with walls?** Yes. Leave about 8 × 4 blocks free in front of the spot where you create it (about 10 × 10 for a classic ring of radius 4), and a free block above the table for the hologram. With `full-bright: true` the table is lit even in dark rooms.

**A player can't click a spot.** They need `rncasino.play` (and the table's `permission`, if it has one). Something between the player and the cloth (another player, a block) can catch the click. Spots must also be within reach (about 4 blocks): on bigger tables (`size` above 1) players walk along the table to reach the far spots.

**Money was taken but the round didn't happen.** If a round is cancelled or the server stops or crashes, the bets are given back (on the next start after a crash). See [Money safety](/rnsetups/rncasino/guides/money-safety.md). The console lists every refund.

**How do I make a VIP table?** Give the table a `permission` (`rncasino.table.vip`) and higher chips and limits. See [Your first table](/rnsetups/rncasino/getting-started/first-table.md#a-vip-table).

**Can players change the result?** No. The result is fixed by a secret seed when the bets open, and the code of that seed is public before the bets close. See [Fair play](/rnsetups/rncasino/guides/fair-play.md).

**Do past results change the next one?** No. Every round is new; hot and cold numbers in the History menu are just for fun.

**Does it work on Folia?** Yes. Each table runs on the thread of its own region. You need an economy that runs on Folia (or PlayerPoints, if your version supports Folia), because the original Vault doesn't.

**Does it use packets or NMS? Will it break on updates?** No. It uses only the normal server API (display and interaction entities), so one jar works from 1.21.1 to 26.3.

**How much does a table cost in performance?** A table waiting for bets sends nothing. During a round the hologram changes once a second, and the spinning wheel sends one small update every `spin-update-ticks` (8 by default), only to players within `view-distance`. Tables in unloaded chunks cost nothing. Data is saved on its own thread.

**Is there an age check?** No. If your server needs one, keep the casino in an area only allowed players can enter, or give `rncasino.play` only to them.
