# Menus

Players use two menus: **stats** (`/rncg stats`) and **top** (`/rncg top`). Admins also use the [editor](/rnsetups/rnchatgames/configuration/editor.md).

* `menus.yml`: materials, rows and slots.
* Language file, under `menus`: titles, names and lore.

## menus.yml

```yaml
filler: GRAY_STAINED_GLASS_PANE      # empty slots
game-icons:                          # icon of each game (menus and toasts)
  unscramble: BOOK
  math: CLOCK
  guess-number: TARGET
  completion: WRITABLE_BOOK
  hangman: LEAD
  memory: ECHO_SHARD
  color: PAINTING
  # ...
stats:
  enabled: true                      # false = text in the chat instead
  rows: 5
  summary-slot: 4                    # player head with points, wins, rank, streaks
  game-slots: [10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 30, 32]
  top-button:   { slot: 39, material: GOLD_INGOT }
  close-button: { slot: 41, material: BARRIER }
top:
  enabled: true                      # false = text in the chat instead
  rows: 5
  entry-slots: [11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24]   # players per page
  ranking-button: { slot: 4,  material: NETHER_STAR }      # click: next ranking, right-click: previous
  previous-page:  { slot: 36, material: ARROW }
  next-page:      { slot: 44, material: ARROW }
  stats-button:   { slot: 39, material: BOOK }
  close-button:   { slot: 41, material: BARRIER }
editor:
  filler: BLACK_STAINED_GLASS_PANE
```

Slots start at 0 (top left). A menu with 5 rows has slots 0–44.

{% hint style="info" %}
If `game-slots` has fewer slots than games, the games left are placed in the next free slots, so a new game never disappears from the menu. A file that still has the default slots of an older version uses the new layout by itself.
{% endhint %}

## Stats

The head shows the player's points, wins, rank, current and best streak and fastest win. Each game shows its wins, the player's best time and the server record. `/rncg stats <player>` opens another player's stats (`rnchatgames.stats.others`).

## Top

Rankings with player heads: **Total** (points) and one per game (wins). The ranking button changes the ranking; the arrows only appear when there is another page.

## Player heads and skins

Heads show the player's skin also on **offline-mode** servers: the plugin uses the skin of a player who is online, or asks Mojang for the skin of the premium account with that name. The menu opens at once and the skin appears a moment later; results are remembered so Mojang is not asked again every time.

## Texts

Language file → `menus.stats`, `menus.top` and `menus.editor`: titles (`title`), item names (`*-name`) and lore (`*-lore`). Placeholders are listed above each section, for example `{player}`, `{points}`, `{rank}`, `{wins}`, `{best}`, `{ranking}`, `{page}`, `{pages}`.
