# Reference

## Most used commands

| Command                                    | What it does                                         |
| ------------------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| `/koth`                                    | Menu with every KOTH, the top players and your stats |
| `/koth create <name>`                      | New KOTH (gives the wand)                            |
| `/koth setzone <name>`                     | Use your wand selection as the area                  |
| `/koth editor [name]`                      | Change everything in a menu                          |
| `/koth start <name>` / `/koth stop <name>` | Start or stop an event                               |
| `/koth next`                               | When the next KOTH starts                            |

## Permissions in one minute

Players get everything they need by default (`rnkoth.player`) and operators get every admin command (`rnkoth.admin`). With LuckPerms, for example:

/lp group default permission set rnkoth.player true
/lp group admin permission set rnkoth.admin true
```

To let a builder set up KOTHs without other admin rights, give `rnkoth.editor`. That is enough for everything they need: the editor, the selection wand and `/koth setzone`.

## Quick checks when something is wrong

1. Run `/koth list`: it shows every KOTH, whether it has an area and when it starts.
2. During an event, run `/koth status <name>`: it shows who is inside and why each player counts or not.
3. Look at the console: a file with a mistake shows the exact line.
