# Server events

A random server event every 2 hours.

Every **2 hours** one random event starts for **30 minutes**:

| Event | What happens |
| ---------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Double Money** | Every kill gives the killer +⛁10 extra. |
| **Key Rain** | Every kill can drop a crate key (Common, Rare, Epic or Legendary). |
| **Bounty Rush** | Every kill puts a ⛁150 bounty on the killer. |
| **Power Boost** | Every player gets a random effect (Strength, Speed or Jump Boost) for 3 minutes. |

The event is announced in chat and with a title, there is a warning 15 minutes before it ends, and the bossbar always shows when the next one starts.

## How it works

The scheduler is part of **ConditionalEvents** (`plugins/ConditionalEvents/events/server_events.yml`, events `event_scheduler` and `event_warning`), so it is included in the package and needs no panel schedules. The state is stored in three **ServerVariables** variables:

* `active_event`: `none`, `double`, `keys`, `rush` or `boost`
* `event_label`: the name shown in messages and the bossbar
* `event_timer`: minutes until the next event, or minutes left while an event is running

## Useful commands

| Command | What it does |
| ------------------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| `/svar set event_timer 1` | Start (or end) the next event within a minute |
| `/svar get active_event` | See which event is running |

## Changing the times

In `server_events.yml`, change `svar set event_timer 30` in each `start_...` action (duration) and `svar set event_timer 120` in the `stop` action (time between events). The kill rewards of each event are in the `event_...` entries of the same file.
