# Bedrock players

Let Bedrock players join with Geyser and Floodgate.

The setup includes **Geyser** and **Floodgate**, so Bedrock players join with their own Microsoft account, with no Java account needed.

## Step by step

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open a UDP port

In your hosting panel add an allocation with the **UDP** protocol. The Bedrock default is `19132`.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Set the port in Geyser

Open `plugins/Geyser-Spigot/config.yml` and set the Bedrock port to that number:

```yaml
bedrock:
  address: 0.0.0.0
  port: 19132
```

{% hint style="warning" %}
The package ships with the port of our test server. **Change it to your own UDP port.**
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Set the name and keep the auth type

Set the name Bedrock players see: `server-name: 'Your Server Name'`. Keep `auth-type: floodgate` under the `java:` section.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Restart and join

Restart the server (Geyser changes need a restart). On a Bedrock device: Servers → Add server → your IP and the UDP port.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Notes for Bedrock

* Bedrock usernames get a **`.`** prefix (`username-prefix` in `plugins/floodgate/config.yml`). Keep it in mind for staff permissions and name-based commands.
* `allow-flight=true` is already set. Without it Bedrock players are kicked for "flying". This also means **the server does not kick players for flying**: add an anticheat that supports Bedrock if you need one.
* The server list message uses MiniMOTD (`passthrough-motd: true`).
* The setup uses **no resource pack**, so Java and Bedrock players see the same things, and every menu icon uses characters that Bedrock can display.

## Menus without right click

Bedrock cannot right-click in menus. The setup already handles this:

* **Shop:** a "Toggle Buy / Sell" button appears for Bedrock players.
* **Settings:** every toggle uses a single click.
* **Jobs:** one click opens the level rewards of a job, and you leave the job from that menu.
* **Auction House:** Bedrock players get native forms.
