# Requirements

What your server needs before you install the setup.

| Requirement     | Details                                                                                              |
| --------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Server software | **Paper 26.3** (the setup was built and tested on it)                                                |
| Java            | **Java 25** (the version Paper 26.3 runs on)                                                         |
| RAM             | **8 GB** recommended for up to 20 players                                                            |
| Ports           | One extra **TCP** port for Votifier and one **UDP** port for Bedrock players                         |
| Players         | Java **1.7 to 26.3** (ViaVersion, ViaBackwards and ViaRewind) and **Bedrock** (Geyser and Floodgate) |

If your hosting panel has a **Paper version / build** variable set to `latest`, the server downloads a newer Paper build on every restart. For stable behaviour, set a fixed build number.
