# Reference

## Most used commands

| Command                     | What it does                                            |
| --------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| `/rncg start [game]`        | Start a game now (random if no game is given)           |
| `/rncg stop`                | Stop the running game                                   |
| `/rncg next`                | When the next automatic game starts, or why it does not |
| `/rncg editor`              | Change the settings in game                             |
| `/rncg preview <game>`      | See how a game looks, only you                          |
| `/rncg top` / `/rncg stats` | Rankings and stats menus                                |
| `/rncg toggle`              | A player hides or shows the games for themselves        |

## Permissions in one minute

Players get everything they need by default (`rnchatgames.player`) and operators get every admin command (`rnchatgames.admin`). With LuckPerms, for example:

/lp group default permission set rnchatgames.player true
/lp group admin permission set rnchatgames.admin true
```

To let only some ranks play, set `players.require-permission: true` in `config.yml` and give them `rnchatgames.play`.

## Quick checks when something is wrong

1. Run `/rncg next`: it says if games are waiting for players, turned off or about to start.
2. Look at the console: a file with a mistake shows the exact line.
3. Check that your world is not disabled (`worlds` in `config.yml`).
